On 12 June Ken Hecker and Don Ross came to tell us about the Salmon Arm Tennis Club, which was established in its present form in 1977, when it was formally registered as a Society under the B.C. Societies Act, and a permanent facility was created on two acres of land bordering Little Mountain Park.

Membership fees are moderate and provision is made for the public to use the courts at a very nominal rate ($5.00 per time). As well as a growing membership (about 200 members), the club operates a Youth Training Program, in which 89 young people currently participate. The club is fundraising to build an indoor facility with three indoor courts. their goal of $1.6 million is only $150,000 away from target. Find out more at http://www.salmonarmtennis.org.
