At a Club meeting recently, new member Lonnie Karpick gave us his bio.

Lonnie was born in The Pas, Manitoba and, spending almost all his life in northern Manitoba, his working life encompassed:  piano mover, electrician, plane mechanic, carpenter, funeral director, although most of his working life was spent at the Manitoba Liquor Commission as employee and as inspector.  During this peripatetic career he made time to volunteer as a labour relations mediator and contractor, school board member (also chair), Norway House Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Committee, the Addictions Foundation and with The Pas Rotary Club.  He has a daughter in Kelowna, a son in Salmon Arm and a craft-orientated wife.  He is now trying ‘to sit on his hands’ when projects and responsibilities present themselves!
