For the second week in a row, we were privileged to hear from one of our former youth exchange students. Rafael (Rafa) Zamora spent a year in Salmon Arm in 2003-4. After his exchange, he returned to Spain, where he attended university, graduating in chemical engineering. Since then he has travelled extensively, and now, given the current situation with Covid-19 in Spain, he is living in Lahore, Pakistan, where he is helping a friend set up a fashion business. Also trained in yoga, Rafa is working on setting up a yoga studio in Lahore. He considers his year in Salmon Arm as the best of his life as it opened so many opportunities and experiences, and gave him a wider view of life.
