Last week, during our Zoom Club meeting, we had a great presentation from a group called Recover Shuswap. Our presenters were and Lana Fitt and Jocelyn Johnson.
Shuswap Economic Development, Shuswap Tourism, Salmon Arm Economic Development Society, Community Futures Shuswap and the Tsuts’weye Women’s Entrepreneur and Innovation Network have come together to develop and implement a Phase I response to the economic impacts currently facing Shuswap businesses and organizations.
Using a PowerPoint presentation, they outlined

- The support plan for economic restart/recovery in the Shuswap
- They collectively support businesses in the region
- The available ‘toolkit’ for businesses
- Templates for re-opening following closure
- Assistance for transition to digital sales
- Mentorship and training
- Community marketing within and outside the region
