At Monday Oct 16's meeting, Patrick Webb presented his bio. He was born in Alberta, but grew up in BC. He worked for the forestry during the summers and while working on the fire suppression crew in Williams Lake, he met his wife Colleen; they were married in 1979. He attended Simon Fraser University and finally joined the RCMP in 1980. Posted to Alberta, he  & Colleen spent 30+ years in a variety of small Alberta towns. His career also included instructing in Regina, Sergeant for Media Relations, and VIP Security in Calgary. He represented the RCMP internationally in Washington, DC and  California.   He retired in 2012 and moved to Salmon Arm in 2016.

Patrick joined Rotary in 2005 after being asked by members of the High River Club.  He closely examined the purpose and efforts of Rotary, both locally and internationally and came to the conclusion they were intent on improving their communities; they had already shown their success in efforts like polio eradication and local projects.  He is still very pleased that he did join and that Colleen has joined as well.
