
January 17, 2026, saw members of the Salmon Arm Rotary Club once again at Larch Hills preparing and serving beef on a bun and hotdogs. The day starts at 4 am, when two members head up to the mountain to fire up the barbecue and begin cooking the 160 lbs of beef on a skewer. Other volunteers arrive in the early morning to cook the 14 dozen hot dogs , warm up the buns and sliced, pre-cooked onions, and prepare the condiments for over 600 participants. Club members put in over 95 hours of volunteer labour Our club has been feeding hungry skiers and volunteers for 28 years
