Our June 4th speaker was Carmen Massey, who told us about the upcoming Shuswap Salmon Symposium to be held on Sept 30/Oct 1 in conjunction with the Adams River Salmon Run. The symposium includes a Naming Ceremony for Roderick Haig-Brown Park, which will be renamed Tsutswewc Park which translates to “many fish,” at the request of the Little Shuswap Indian Band.
